Janet C. Hamill, BSN, RN, HN-BC, CCAP

Janet Hamill is an Integrative Healing Practitioner at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. She has been a Registered Nurse for 26 years. Her nursing background includes working as a staff nurse on a cardiac surgery step-down unit, a cardiac educator, and a cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation nurse.

Janet has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is certified as a Reiki Master/Teacher, Certified Clinical Aromatherapist, and 'M' Technique practitioner, Janet is also a trained HealthRhythms Drumming Circle facilitator, Stress Management Instructor Level 2, and Qualified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher.

Janet is a Board Certified Holistic Nurse, HNB-BC. Her role as an Integrative Healing Practitioner for 14 years at The Valley Hospital includes the use of the 'M' Technique, Reiki, Guided Imagery, meditation, breathwork, emotional support, and the clinical use of Essential Oils to assist patients, and their families through the healing process. Janet also works with staff to address self-care, resilience, and stress management, and to this aim, she is involved in curriculum development, education of staff, and community outreach programs. She completed the Integrative Healing Arts Program through the Birchtree Center for Healthcare Transformation.

Janet is a member of the American Holistic Nursing Association and The Valley Hospital’s Holistic Practice Committee, Resilience Team, and Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Team.

Janet attended the 'M' Technique Instructor Course with Dr. Jane Buckle at Texas Harris Methodist Medical Center, Fort Worth TX in February 2009. Janet lives in West Milford, NJ.
